questions

3. I think Tub is the most sympathetic character, because he had to deal with weight issues. When he shot Kenny, Frank was petrified for a while. In the context, the narrator says ‘Frank hadn’t moved since Kenny killed the dog’ (page 33). It shows that Frank is definitely not the most powerful character in the story. Throughout the story I felt Kenny is the most powerful character in the story. Kenny was desperate with power.

7.What is the purpose of the scene in which Frank and Tub stop at the tavern for food and coffee, leaving the wounded Kenny in the back of the truck? During their conversation, Frank analyzes his own character and expresses remorse. Are his insights and remorse genuine? Why or Why not?
